TRANSPOSITIONS
2020
It gently taps her foot. It becomes a dagger. As it bends back time slows down.
TRANSPOSITIONS is a collaborative solo and an ongoing discussion about gestures, rhythm and irregularity; a somatic dialogue between distant bodies lingering in a pool of listening. How do we befriend the patterns in our bodies? In what way is a certain movement transposed and reshaped when danced through another?
The work was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic. It tackles distance and absence as part of the creation process through a remote collaboration.
